The world doesn’t have enough ramblings on a piece of paper or on a computer screen that fill the void between the unconscious state of driving down the road and buying a cheeseburger at McDonald’s and then expecting a religion that means nothing to you to fulfill your passionate understanding of the present and future and past and the retrospective innards of metaphysical reality.
Saturated in a society terribly banal in every facet of their lives; the people have turned to spiritual and intellectual stimulation in the most idiotic of places. I’d venture a guesstimate that over 70% of the audience of Harry Potter currently resides over the age of 30. This goes with saying that a good percentage of that number only read Harry Potter. That acts as their main intellectual adventure into literature. Once religion comes into play – a once omnipotent force that ravaged destruction throughout the Spanish empire and struck terror into the hearts of all that didn’t see the light – they run towards the covers and cuddle up with their favorite way to get close to a detached-as-they-are lord: Cliff’s Notes. This is the society we are immersed in, and here we begin.
P.S.
I didn’t actually introduce any sort of preface of what the blog’s aim/goal is, and here I’d like to take a sentence or two and map a bit out. The blog will be devoted to mostly social commentary with stories of oddity and ramblings of an off kilter nature. Though I hope to update every few days, it will be certain that I update at least within the week.
